This wonderful resort is located in the Cayo District, not far from San Ignacio, an area where the greatest concentration of Mayan sites have been found. Chaa Creek Cottages consists of nineteen thatched-roof cottages and two luxury suites, all with private verandahs. An open-air restaurant and bar leads out to a deck where guests gather at the end of the day to quench their thirst and share their adventure. Horsebackriding, Natural History Center, Blue Morpho Butterfly Breeding Farm, canoe trips down the Macal River and mountain biking trails are all on site. Day trips will take you to a variety of Mayan sites, including Tikal in Guatemala, only two hours by road; as well as caving, birding, river explorations and the rainforest medicinal trail. The location is ideal for so many activities in and around the Cayo District.
Recently opened, the Chaa Creek Conference Center makes this lodge an exotic alternative for hosting small meetings for professional, business, special interest, research and study groups.
The Spa at Chaa Creek was opened in 1999 offering state-of-the-art facilities. Professional (and incredible) pampering and relaxing treatments are available to help soothe the body and soul. This is the finest spa facility in Belize and on par with international standards.
This lodge is dedicated to ecology and conservation, winning environmental awards such as "The Green Hotel of the Year."
