Getting to your destination is how your adventure begins. Depending on where you are traveling to and from, there are four modes of transportation available for travel within Belize - flight, boat, rental car or private transfers by road.

Tropic Air provides professional intra-country flight service. Most flights are 15-30 minutes long in single prop planes offer seating from four to fourteen passengers. The views are spectacular from the air and flying is often the easiest way to get from point A to B. We offer both regularly scheduled service as well as charter flight services within Belize.

If your itinerary includes the outer cayes and atolls, generally, boats are used for transfers by the lodges and resorts.

On the mainland, renting sports utility vehicles is available for those with an adventurous spirit. Once you get off the highway (similar to a 2-lane country road), the roads are dirt and can be quite bumpy, muddy or dusty with minimal signage. Driving is on the right-hand side of the road. This is an alternative means of transportation for the independent adventure traveller.

We can also arrange private transfers by road to mainland lodges as part of your accommodations package. This way you can leave the driving to someone local and sit back to enjoy the sights.
